Do I need an electrician or plumber?

Usually both unless they are qualified in both fields it also is a bonus if the wiring is in the correct place for the new shower ,meaning buy a shower that has the same electrical entry point and usually a plumber would be happy to connect it up .

Hi Julie If this is a straight swap you can use any. Most electricians will swap showers and do the water connection and plumbers vica versa. If this is a new circuit for the shower though you will need an electrician to sign of the electrical installation certificate as bathroom work is notifiable under Part P Thanks
