Frost free fridge freezer suddenly silent

Hi, I purchased a Hoover HVBF5182WWK_WH Fridge Freezer in July last year. Yesterday morning it was making a louder humming noise than usual, I turned it off & on with no luck so I turned down the temperature in the fridge & this stopped the noise. There was a few whooshing noises & then silence. Since then the fridge has barely made any noise at all. It seems silent the majority of the time. On the odd occasion there is a slight hum. The items still seem cold and the freezer is still working. Is there a problem if it's not making any noise?

Hi Laura , I would just monitor the temperature of the fridge and make sure that it's staying cold . It seems like you could of fixed the issue by turning it down slightly . However if your concerned you should contact a local service engineer who would be happy to give it a quick check over Thanks Scott
