Hello, Further to my earlier post.(29 March 2016) I ran a 4 way extension cable from my daughters 'upstairs' three pin socket to the downstairs kitchen, pluged in and switched on the dishwasher, it ran for about 3 minutes, then stopped, the main fuse tripped, however the 13 amp plug fuse did not blow, ! still feel that there is problem with the ring main! Any assistance will be very much appreciated Thank you

Hi Anthony, Not sure why anyone would want to run the dishwasher from an upstairs socket. I can only imagine that the kitchen had an initial fault. Before i can give you any clear advice, please answers these questions........... Has the rcd or mcb tripped why have you plugged it in upstairs does anything? else pugged in the described socket cause a trip.

What would you like to do now?
