Electric Underfloor Heating in Bathroom

Posted by Sam Clarke, on
We're looking at laying electric underfloor heating in our bathroom and doing the job as a DIY before getting an electrician to wire the mat. How do we go about best place the cables in preparation for wiring up to the main circuit whilst laying the mat?

You (the electrician)must take in consideration the position and connection of the underfloor temperature sensor and the room sensor in order to make proper calibration. I would recommend to go for Heatmiser thermostats and control unit. Is easy to install and configure.

The mat will need testing both prior to laying then after laying to prove there's no damage prior to being energised. Might be an idea to get an electrician to look at the job before you start Thanks Russ
