Where do we start?

Posted by Ali Paveley, on
We have bought an old house and need to completely renovate. Our first jobs are to knock down walls and take out the chimney and these are in hand. But when do we get an electrician in? Before we insulate the walls and fit the kitchen? Or do we do it in stages? We have been here a year and still not sure what to do first!

Hi Ali I advise you get the electrician in just after you strip out. That will give the electricians space to rewire. You will then need a plasterer to make good. Then painter once painted electricians can return to energise the system. In some cases we can energise before paint works this will mean that the painter will need to tape sockets ect. If you need a electrician feel free to contact us. Regards George
