Only two socket supplying whole flat using extension cables

3 weeks ago the electrics were tripping intermittently. We have British Gas homecare 4 and they came the same day sending an emergency electrician as there was not heating and hot water.
The electrician spilt the socket rings and made two sockets active. One socket is situated at the front of the house and an extension lead is running all the way to the back where the boiler is. Then another extension lead is plugged into the original extension lead which is serving the fridge. The washing machine uses this also 3 times a week. Also occasional kettle, laptops, phone chargers.
British Gas will not send anyone out to do further investigation and complete the job. I know these are challenging times but is my flat safe? Will the one socket overload? I need to keep my family safe?
I can put the cables out of the way as much as possible but I am more worried about overload.
Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks
