Kitchen flooring & Tiling

Posted by Mike Quate, on
We currently have a 600X600mm high gloss porcelain tile on our kitchen floor. The kitchen floor (Under the tile) is a wood/fibre board. The washing machine flooded since then it seems like there has been some movement in the floor which had led to some of the tiles around the machine cracking. One of the tiles is damaged in another part of the room due to a heavy weight dropping on it so we have decided to replace the tiles. Can you recommend some options for the replacement. The floor isnt 100% level either which might make it complicated. I really dont want a laminate floor. Happy to go with tiles again, but need something durable for a busy kitchen. What would be the process? Im assuming we will need to life the existing tiles. Prepare the floor for potentially leveling screed and then re-tile. Will I need to replace the fibre board?

What would you like to do now?
