Underfloor insulation

Posted by Ricardo Gandara, on
Hi We want to have our ground floor insulated. We own a early 1900's mid terrace house, with suspended timber floor. total area to be insulated is 4m x 7m (entrance corridor, front room, back room). Our preference would be to use natural material for insulation, like sheep's wool, but we won't discard using other materials. Any recommendations or pointers? I have seen people using chicken wire to around the joists add the insulation and then put a membrane over that? regards Ricardo
