Are you saying you want to cover engineered flooring. At circumstance cover any solid or engineered flooring with another solid flooring. The floor will just simply swell due to moisture retention. I have lost count at the amount of times non qualified trades haves done this and it has caused major issues. I am F.I.T.A certified and its a no go
