Bleached white oak floor turned yellow

Posted by Ilana Fogelman, on
New white oak floors were bleached (then stained with pickled oak and clear Bona coat). The goal was to have a pale looking floor. instead, bleaching turned the floor a mixture of pale and yellow boards. I guess the darker natural boards are the ones that turned yellow. What do you think went wrong? Does this suggest they used the wrong bleach, or was it too weak or too short an application? And if we were to redo it, what should we add to get rid of the yellow? I read online about adding a bit of ebony stain, or white stain. Any guidance would deeply appreciated. Thanks!
