Advice on DPM for kitchen

Posted by Hadi Alwardi, on
I had a builder from rated people come do a liquid dpm and screed for my kitchen floor as the screed that was on that floor previously was coming off due to damp. When he was laying the dpm (ardex dpm 1c rapid), he put a very patchy and thin layer on, and didn't make it go all the way to the edges of the room. He then laid some screed (Arditex NA) on top. When I asked him about the spotty dpm coverage, he assured me that what he did is good enough for my kitchen and that no damp will rise through that, is this correct? I have a picture of the DPM, not sure how to upload on here, but if I find a way I will.
