Hi Neil, you would do well to use a hoover first and then seal hardboard with PVA glue. Alternatively just replace the hardboard, which I expect your carpet fitter could do.
Floor hardboard before underlay and carpet

Hi experts. I have dusty with old plaster dust hardboard floor in my daughters bedroom. I want to seal it / dust proof it before underlay and carpets next week.
What can I use ? Any old primer ? Something specifically?
