Hi Colin, The short answer is yes! The long answer is you need to work out your overheads over the course of the year (insurances - public liability, vehicle, tool etc. Costs of fuel. Maintenance of tools. Tax. Travel time. etc etc) decide how much you would like to earn as a wage then divide it all by the number of working hours you'll have over the year. Check out 'Landscape juice' a webpage for gardeners for some more info. The other thing to think about is what level of service you're providing. Do you know your stuff and how much work do you get done in that hour. I know gardeners who'll take twice as long as I do to do a job and not leave as good a finish but they'll charge less so it prob works out in the end. Also do you have your own tools? If not you should charge less. I hope everything works out for you. Cheers, Craig
