Hello Carole, it's much easier to check these days, with Rated People (there are others) you can check previous jobs by individual gardeners online. I'd come and give you a quote but I work in London! You can look me up to see what I mean, I'm sure there will be knowledgeable gardeners near you. They will also know the local climate, soil conditions etc better than me. Regards
I agree with Pete, having ratings from clients is invaluable. Also before you decide on who to go with invite them round to have a look at your garden with you and talk through what needs to be done and when.
