I have a sloped crazy paving back patio. Would I be able to deck over this? It is sloped towards the house. What could I do other than decking?

Hi, in my opinion you can do the decking. It should be mutli-level deck with steps. Number of levels depends on the angle of inclination. Stairs need not be the whole width of decking. Decking boards are suitable for making pots for plants. You will need put there kind of foil inside, which is permeable to air and water but soil is impermeable. You can do it on both sides of stairs. Hope it help. Best Regards Bozena

Hello Alan, Yes I agree with Bozena you can deck over this. There is no need to lift the crazy paving except where you need to sink the support posts. Another option would be to replace the paving with sandstone slabs, a much nicer lower maintenance option but this would cost a bit more. Or of course you could have the whole garden redesigned with planting areas, lawn, seating areas... You'd be best to have someone come out and have a look to discuss your different options.
