How make a patio on a slope that has to be kept clear of a wood fence

Landlord says we must retain the slope of our garden to the wood fence. how can we make a hard area as we previously had decking which they say must be removed. what other hardscape material can we put here that keeps clear of the fence, but gives us a patio/seating area
