How to remove electric cables from pond pump and filter?

Hi, i am planning to remove the pond from my garden and add turf. Alongside the pond, there is the electric cables that power the pumps / filters. They are in a brick - box beside the pond. The cables somehow go into the house, where the switches are. I cannot find out which switch powers which item, as the filters and pump are broken. I wondered if i could ask what the options might be to remove them safely, and who i would need to contact if it is something we couldnt do ourselves.
