I have a large cherry tree (not edible if that helps) the roots are big and shallow.
I would like to decommission the garden fence and construct a 6ft wall, I am considering a wall with a wooden panel 23rds up to make it lighter.
How do I get round the root problem? these roots are right in the way, big and bunched.

You could possibly get out of it by spanning the roots with a lintol
