Large conifers

Posted by Richard Staines, on
What's the best way to remove extra large conifers and how will the ground be affected. I'm looking to extend the property but should still be a few meters away from the base of them

Hello Richard, Welcome to this site. Cut the tree down and then dig the root out. You can drill the root out set a budget of £100 Simply put your job on this site and you will be sorted. tradesmen pay for the opportunity to quote on your job. It is important to give tradesmen contacting you the opportunity to do so, the advice you receive is free. You are not obliged to use any of them. Regards Michael

Hello Richard, How the job is tackled depends on a few factors, the size of the conifers. What is actually meant by extra large and how many plus proximity to other buildings. If they are really large and near other buildings/ power lines/cables it could be a specialist's job to take down in sections. The size will also determine how feasible removal is by hand digging, grinding or digging out with a JCB type machine. Any removal will loosen the soil and will need compacting/ levelling after, but if you are to have any building work done this should be taken care of. If you post the job please try and give an indication of the size, height & width plus number of trees to be removed. Hope this helps. Regards, Phil

The best way would be- post a job listing on here, get three quality tradesmen to pop round and give you a quote. Regards Matt
