I prune my roses twice yearly,Autumn and Spring The Spring prune is when temp warm up and growth starts taking place and there is little chance of frost,I then prune them back hard If you speak to many different people you may well get many different answers Steve @ Swiftsure

best time is early March , however i8f you have a super abundance of growth you may wish to to a small tidy up prune in November which will help eliminate any winter storm damage.
