I assume you have permission to kill their ivy or it it just growing over from their side? If the plant's were on your neighbour's side you will need to get their permission to kill it. Its best to cut off stems remove all top growth then dig up dig up the roots . It may be your neighbour likes their ivy in which case you will only be able to cut the growth that's 'staying onto your own land. In my experience ivy looks worse than it is to clear; the roots come out easliy ith the right tool
