Hi Jen, Turf quality varies ,if you want a bowling green lawn that need continual maintenance look for a rolawn premium turf but be advised soil condition is very important you would require a PH balance of between 6.5 to 7 this is achieved by adding either lime for less acid soil or sulfur to make it more acidic , My best advice is to go for a utility grass this is very hardy like kids playing football and lives with shade or sun .
