Fence post rotted in concrete base - help!

Posted by Shuva Dey, on
Hi I have fence post (corner) in my garden which has rotted at the base where it enters the concrete base. How do I repair this what are my options...I don't really fancy digging out 2 foot of solid concrete. Thanks for your advice.

always a problem yo have three options 1.drill out the existing post in the concrete pad clean it out replace and add more concrete to stabalise (difficult) 2.dig out the footting and replace 3. if they are fence panels this is not an option but you could move the post and fit harris rails and shiplap the gap hope this helps dave rew.services
