Improving the lawn

I moved her last year, the garden was non-existent so I had an old garage removed, turf laid and am creating a nice garden.
But the lawn wasn't levelled/smoothed before turf laid so the lawn grass is good but it's different levels with dips and bumps.
What's the best way to sort it out? Does it need to all be dug up and relaid?
