Hi Martin the first job is the hardest to get on this site as it's all about feedback from previous work and as you have none you are an unknown quantity. You are going in the right direction by trying for smaller/ simpler jobs as these will be easier to win and it's less of a worry for the customer using someone with no feedback as the budget is fairly small. It maybe worthwhile asking for some feedback from the jobs you have quoted for to see what they thought of your approach and professionalism, you will have their email details. It's all about giving a good impression of yourself, be on time for appointments act professional at all times and demonstrate to the customer you know your trade inside out. You may have to price the jobs at a slightly lower rate to give you the edge over other trades just to get the first couple of jobs and build up some feedback. Hope this helps. Ed
