Poor work

Posted by Stephen Mhiribidi, on
How do I deal with a tradesman that I got on this site who has done a poor job? He is now not answering calls.

Hi Stephen your first action should be to leave a bad review for him to warn other potential customers what he is like, log into Rated People and go into jobs you have posted and leave a review. Your second action would be to send him a letter recorded delivery ( hopefully you have his address! Should always be on letterhead of quotation) outlining the issues you have with the work carried out and giving him a set period of time to rectify them. Warn him that failure to rectify the work will result in you contacting Trading Standards and possible legal action to recover any money you have paid. That should work! Ed
