I have one of your Rated People gardeners here and he wants to lay new turfs straight on top of old dead grass.
I said "shouldn't they be slice it up and remove the old grass, or at least dig it over with a rotivator or fork and he says no, he will just 'squish the top about a bit' and then lay the turf with no other preparation. We then have to make sure we water it...".
Can you comment and advise please?
