Is it ok to put shingle beneath the fence panels to stop wood from rotting?

Hi Mrs cottrill Putting shingle under a fence panel is fine , the shingle will act as good drainage and stop the panel laying in water which in time will rot the fence, hope this has answered your question Evergreen gardens
