Hi Gemma, The bast time of year to repair a lawns patchy areas in Spring or Autumn when the weather is cool & damp. Depending on the size of your patches, you can reseed, cut out a patch & replace with new. It may be worth looking at a lawn treatment plan also. Or if its the whole lawn it could be poor drainage & a new lawn or reseed is required. Alternatives could be a case of looking at paving that particular area if its a high footfall area. Check out my profile, if your in my area, drop me a line I would be happy to advise further.
