Can you lay artificial grass in a area of poor drainage

Posted by Sean Usher, on
I'm looking to get artificial grass as my current lawn has poor drainage, causing the grass to die and grow moss, would I still need to install drainage before laying the artificial grass?

Only if the ground is very soft. As when you walk on it .it just sinks . Put layers of small stons and grit and than lay your astro turf . Hope this helps .

yes you do. To do a proffessional job you would remove all top soil and replace with to layers of stone. The first a 40mm clean stone and then a small grit for you to lay the astro turf down on. Some people cut corners for a quick option but you can easily have the materials delivered by any builders merchant or quarry.
