Tradesman have not finished their job

Hi,
I had a tradesman out to complete a job which they have done, but then it followed onto another job which was bigger but they have not finished the job and already left the site and also having trouble getting in contact with them.
The follow up job was all verbally agreed and no paper contract was signed, and they have taken 100% of money.
Is there anything you can do to help or advise?
