Hi eddy, This year we seem to be having a bit of a plague of these creatures due largely to a mild wet winter and a wet spring. You could try beer traps. pour beer into a bowl and leave it in your plot slugs and snails love it. Crushed egg shells around you plant also deter slugs and snails as the edges are sharp and they are reluctant to crawl over them. Hope you find this helpful Russell
