I want to install a feather edge fence (horizontal i.e. edges pointing down), c. 5m wide and 2m high. At present there are four concrete posts at almost even spacing with three fence panels between each. This is the party fence.
I want to remove the existing wooden fence panels, and then attach the feather edge panels to the front of the exiting concrete posts (masking them, and to create a continuous 5m wide fence with no posts visible).
What is the best way of installing the feather edge panels, without taking out the concrete posts? I was thinking of screwing 2m by 10cm wide wooden blocks to each side of the concrete posts and then nail the feather edge panels into this wood.
Would that work?
