Japanese Knot Weed

Posted by Lorraine Mulraney, on
I have had Japanese Knot Weed in my garden which has been chemically treated, and I have been told it will grow back! How long after the first treatment will it re-appear, and will it need treating again? Can I plant things in my garden if knotweed has been in it, will it affect the (for instance, vegetables & herbs) other plants that grow nearby?

You can use treatments containing glyphosate, but you should know it can take up to five years of treatment to finally be rid of the pesky plant, The best way to remove it is to dig it up .
