Planning permission for erecting a small fence or filling in pond?

Do you ever need planning permission to put up a small fence (15m long x 1m tall) or fillin a pond and turf it?

Ponds, even small ones, are rapidly disappearing from London. They support a number of birds, amphibians and insects - Is there an option to have the pond cleaned up or replanted?

Evening You would not require planning permission for that work to be carried out. Regulations state if it is over 1.5m high then you would require permission.
