Hi David, It’s okay to do your homework when hiring a tradesperson – in fact we encourage it on our homeowner checklist (rated.co.uk/checklist). The tradesperson might be new to the service, and yet to get their first rating. In situations like this, you can ask for references of previous work and/or qualifications.
