We are planning to build a raised patio at the top of our garden. It will be made up of 600x600mm slabs, 4 wide and 7 long, so approx 2.4m x 4.2m.
The ground underneath is compacted clay, it's a new build so very poor!
What would be the ideal base material, how deep should it be and how much material should we buy?
