I am looking at replacing my gas boiler. What qualifications do I need to check for? And who certifys that is is safe to use at the end of the job?

Paul Dickens

Hi James. You will need to make sure that your engineer is Gas Safe Registered. You can check at www.thegassaferegister.co.uk. They will also need to have ''Part P'' certification. Upon completion you will be handed the manufacturers documents, containing completed benchmark, a gas safety certificate & a minor electrical works certificate. The engineer will also have to register the boiler once completed after which you will receive a letter ''notification of newly installed heating appliance'' Thanks Paul - West Yorkshire
