Is there a tool or way 2 estimate kerosene useage in well insulated dwelling comparing it against the useage of a badly insulated, drafty dwelling?

Hi Paula you can not estimate how much you are going to use fuel for heating your house as weather conditions change so often in UK. yes in a drafty bad insulated house your fuel consumption can increase up to 40% compare to well insulated draft free dwelling. If heating system is fitted with a room thermostat temperature in a house is controlled by thermostat and temperature set up by user. In a house with a draft house will cool down a much quicker than a house well insulated so it's mean if temperature drop boiler will start fireing up to increase temp in a house. By this meening fuel consumption will increase and than you will know how much parafine had been use. So it's better to insulate a house and save some money on fuel ( cost of insulation will clear after 1 st heating season ) I hope this will help you with yiur quarry.
