Hello Cath.you can ask estate agent or any one whi house belongs to to issue with a gas safe certificated etc before you buy a house or You can place a job description on Rated People with minimum budget than gas engineer will contact you. If you will have an access to this property you can arrange a time and date with chosen gas engineer to do a test and issuing gas safe certificate to this property.( member of estate agent etc will have to be with you at this property at this time) Unfortunatelly you would have to pay him not an estate agent as the check what is he will going to do will be done by your request.
