Hi Rob explosive ignition can be caused by cracked burner or ignite probe or also common fault on Worchester boilers pcb is delaying a spark. ( gas valve is open while is no spark to ignite )

None of the engineers mention explosive ignition, i have had this problem for a couple of years and it seems to be shutting off more now than last year.
