Boiler powermax 155x getting no hot water even though on 24 hr setting

Boiler driving us mad, set on constant hot water setting not getting anything except 2 secs of scalding water then nothing. Tried switching off and on again, green burner light only on intermitantly for about 10 mins every few hours, tried to download manual as just moved into new house says mains light should constantly be lit but never been lit since we moved in
