Noisy hot water heating pipes - possible causes ?

Posted by Paul Brinklow, on
Hi, I did have a gravity fed central heating system, now have a new Vailliant boiler, pump and valves - but clicking noise from hot water heating pipes, should the first thing on the flow supply pipes be a pump ? Should the air vent and feed pipes to/from the expansion tank be connected together just above the feed off to the hot water cylinder ?

It is quite possible the clicking noise is the pipes heating up and expanding. If you are concerned I suggest you get a local Engineer in to give you there views. Bill Pipe Dreams Plumbing Services Bournemouth Dorset (can be found on Google)
