Flow pipe and return pipe

Hello I have replaced all my radiators but not touched the pipes Should the flow pipe and the return pipe both be equally hot? I have a conventional boiler with a megalflow in the loft.. We have bought the house and this is how it all was? The boiler is a potterton but 12 years old.. Kev

Kevai, When you first turn on the Heating one of the two pipes will start to get hot and the other remaining cooler. Once the heating is up to full temperature then both pipes should be off similar temperature. Bill Pipe Dreams Plumbing Services Bournemouth (Tel; Bournemouth 512121)
