Hi Angela , See if there is an overheat thermostat on the Boiler (little Red Button ) and try pushing it in this may get you out of trouble for the time being but you need a Gas Safe Heating Engineer asap Regards Rob Bennett Bennett Gas Services Ltd
It's a little far that for me to travel :-) but persist there are a lot of good heating engineers out there.
