Your system seems to be sludged up ,your header tank is warming up due to blockages due to expansion pipe flow . You could try system cleaner in header tank but it can take an age to clean . drain wash and repeat

The gas fired system boiler hot water gurgles rhythmically about every 15 seconds. It sound a bit like an underground train pulling away. The header tank is warming up! How big a job to fix?

Sounds like you may need a power flush of their is a blockage in the cold feed coming down from the feed & expansion cistern. Best way to resolve this is to get a heating engineer out and have him run some tests. Put an ad on ratedpeople.com and up to three tradesman will buy the lead. Best of luck. Sam (eps)
