Alpha boiler

Posted by alan cook, on
My combi boiler is firing up in the middle of the night the programmer is off and no one is using the h/w.is this a pcb problem or a mechanical problem

You could ring Alpha to confirm, but I'm sure they have a pre heat setting on them to reduce lag from when you open the tap. You could ring Alpha direct they are very helpful, hope this helps

It really depends on a few key things: What boiler is it? Does it have a pre-heat vessel? Is the the frost protection bringing it on? You may need a Gas engineer to have a look.

Hi Alan We always recomend to post a job on main website because some of a job needs to be seen before any advice is given. Our service is free of charge with no obligation quote and our tradesmans are happy to help with every aspects of jobs. I would strongly recomend to post a job on Rated People home page then 3 companies will get in touch then you would be able to choose the right person as you would receive an e mail with a link to tradesman account where you would see a pictures and you will read revious from previous customers. I hope this will help Best regards Rafal

Hi Alan Clear off all the current settings on your programmer and re load them taking care with AM and PM. this has worked for me before now so its worth a try, if this does not work call out an electrician/ heating engineer. you should not need a plumber as the boiler is firing up. Kind regards Ian
