Moving the gas meter

Posted by Helen Charlesworth, on
This is a bit of a long shot as I'm at a loss to know who I should contact! I am selling my house and the buyers survey has said that my gas meter is too close to the main incoming electricity supply and needs moving in order to comply with current safety regulations. What I'm ultimately needing is an idea of price for moving the meter. Is this is a job for the main gas supplier? If not, does anyone know who I would contact please? Many thanks for any advice.

Hi Helen Contact your main gas supplier it's there meter so it's up to them to move it they will pay for it in most cases but sometimes they will ask for the homeowner to contribute .
