Woodburner

Posted by julian lebentz, on
I have two heating systems in the house just purchased, one is just gas and is currantly in service the other is a wood burner and back boiler that is not in service, My question is what needs to happen in order for me to use the wood burner as a wood burner, i have read that most back boilers are the size of shoe boxes, does that need to be excavated from the fireplace or can it be left in situ

the back boiler needs to be drained and isolated from the system and then it must have a minimum of two holes drilled into it
