Hi Jacq, With such a large house you will need a large boiler! But first I would check that you have all your insulation and double glazing as well as drafts sorted. Then I would go to a few reputable plumbing and heating companies and get at least 3 quotes with detailed specifications. With 5 bedrooms you are going to need a lot of hot water so I would go for an unvented cylinder rather than a combi boiler which will only supply around 16litres of hot water a minute. With more than one bathroom you will soon find that you run out of hot water. Good luck, Richard.
